# C4 implicit differentiation help watch

1. Could someone explain why in f) the quotient rule isn't used?

Also in part i) how the product rule works here? I changed root xy to x^1/2y^1/2 but came up wrong.

For part f you could use product rule or quotient rule.

I used the product rule for i) and went completely wrong. But I don't quite know where. I said u= x^1/2, V=y^1/2, so u'= 1/2x^-1/2 and v'= 1/2y^-1/2(dy/dx) is that right??
