Solve equation for x
4^x+2 = 5^x
Can you show some working? Obviously the first step is to take logarithms of both sides.
3. also quick thing, you might want to emphasise if it is:
1. (4^x)+2=5^x
or 2. 4^(x+2)=5^x

It will be version (2) but, you're right, the question is ambiguous.

Solve equation for x
4^x+2 = 5^x
xLog(4) is one of the simplifications when you take logs
