    Hi there,

New to this forum, wonder if anyone can give me some advice.

i've been accepted on a postgraduate course starting September 2017 I am a single parent and just wanted to know what financial help is available to me. I am aware that you can now take out a postgraduate loan, but just want to know if there's anything else available to me as a postgraduate student.

    Many thanks in advance

The only national funding available is the postgrad loan and disabled students allowance if you're eligible. Childcare Grant, Parents’ Learning Allowance or Adult Dependants’ Grant are all only for undergraduate degree study or postgraduate teacher training (PGCE) courses.

Your best bet would be to approach your university and ask them what support they offer to postgrads. They may well have additional funds available that you can tap into.
