I submitted my ucas application on the 5th of December and it got referred to the university of Birmingham on the same day. I received a email from them saying they will take 15 working days to get back to me. However, it has been 18 working days (excluding Christmas holidays) and I still have no reply or even a email to say there still considering my application. My friends have received offers already! Does this mean I will not get an offer? Btw I applied to Beng Mechancial engineering

It's probably just that staff were ill or on holiday over Christmas and the number of applications has increased beyond their capacity right now.

Ring them up and ask them whether they will respond soon given the timing in their email.
