So I'm in an apprenticeship absolutely hating every second of it. Dreading going in even on saturdays when i don't have work until Monday. I really want to become a teacher but don't wanna go to uni. Wanna do the TA to teacher route through a school. I really am stuck. I've applied for 2 apprenticeships to become a TA but they haven't got back to me yet. I hate my apprenticeship so much. If i quit would it be illegal to quit and not be in some sort of education? Someone please help!

    Depends how old you are?
up to the age 18 you have to be in a form of education, so you have to stay in a school, apprenticeship or get a job.

Hey, really sorry to hear you're not enjoying your apprenticeship. It's really great though that you'd like to train to become a teacher and that you've applied for two apprenticeships. You need to stay in education or training until the age of 18, or a job with some form of training. As I don't know your personal circumstances I would recommend calling the National Careers Service as they will be able to give you a bit more direction, their number is 0800 100 900. Good luck
