Oh f*** off, don't waste my time with your inconsequential babble. It's not my fault you're not comfortable in your skull, or that your brain carries nothing to satisfy your boredom.

That's what I think However, when people talk to me, I am always extremely friendly because I am appreciate social convention.

I consider myself an introvert. I prefer socialising with small groups. I find a lot of social interaction very tiring. I'm quite a private person. I hate things like public speaking or performing. I genuinely enjoy time by myself. That's pretty much what being an introvert is.

What you're describing, is very shy. That's not me. Do I go all weird if people start talking to me? No. Am I a better conversationalist than a lot of loud-mouthed extroverts I know? I believe so. Do I possess a good deal of self confidence? Yes. Do I love catching attention because of the way I look? Absolutely. Do I have trouble speaking my mind or confronting people? Absolutely not.

Being introverted is basically enjoying a quiet life, it has nothing to do with how shy or unconfident you are.
It's not shy or not being confident I dislike though, if someone's anxious thats alright.

By definition introverts display shy characteristics.

You're a mixture of an extrovert and introvert, as are most people. For example, how would you get a shy extrovert?

      Lmao.
Not all introverts are like that, in fact most introverts aren't. I'm pretty introverted but if I'm spoken to, I'll be friendly and reply back. I myself just prefer not to actively associate myself with extroverts, it's draining. But that doesn't mean I won't speak if spoken to...

You start talking to them and they look at you like some kind of weirdo. M8 I'm just trying to make the day a bit cheerier thanks for ******** on my parade.

my introverted friends only treat people like this if they've heard the person *****ing about them behind their back, (cause they don't ***** about people too much so don't expect to be treated like that)
maybe they're not having a nice day and would rather not talk about it.
Also they might not understand your banter, because different people have different banter

Not always. If you're shy, you're going to be introverted also, it's unavoidable. If you're shy, you don't like being around people. However, the opposite doesn't always present the same link. You can be introverted and not be shy, it's just that you prefer a quiet life. The OP referred to someone who was obviously lacking social skills as an introvert, and whilst technically correct, his title and post gives off the impression that he believes the two terms are interchangeable, which they're not.

I'm introverted but then also ambivert but would never avoid conversation with someone, I just struggle to make the first move and initiate something. But when I'm in a social situation then yes I do feel my energy recharged.

I wouldn't care, if it wasn't for the fact introverts feel the need to complain and self-identify as introverts so much, I mean nobody cares, but stop using your apparently lack of need for human interaction as an attention seeking ploy to gain human interaction.

Londoners talk to me on the tube, offer to show me directions, I've found them really nice personally.

I honestly really like shy introverted people, basically very simple, although they seem very complicated, people. I feel like its their innocense and not being used to social interactions, is what makes them appear different to others.

I am very confident but I just like being alone sometimes and doing stuff myself. I get more done. Plus I have Asperger's (high functioning autism) I end up coming across as rude.
