    I've only recently started writing my UCAS personal statement and when I say recently I mean about six hours ago. I'm writing about my interests in history, writing, and journalism and I'm basically just jumbling a whole load of words and so far its come up to 540 words. But what is bothering me the most is the starter. Like how do i start it off in a way that will introduce all three subjects?

    Which courses are you applying for? If they are not particularly cognate you may need to target the one you most want and let the rest take care of themselves in the wash. Broadly, there is no need to introduce all three subjects.
