Hi, I graduated last year with a 2:1 BA(Hons) in Digital Filmmaking, I did want to teach High School level, however, after giving it a lot of thought and volunteering at a local primary school I realised that I want to teach younger ages.

I'm scared incase my degree holds me back, I've got all the right qualifications to get in as it doesn't specify what type of degree but I'm still wary. I'm applying to Scottish universities.

How can I relate film studies to primary teaching? We use maths and english in film(for cinematography and screenwriting) but will that be enough? Many thanks.

You have a honours degree so it will be up to the local schools in your area. In my PGDE cohort there were people with degrees less applicable to english, some got placements, some did not. I would 100% apply and see what they say.
