Neya Chowdhury's GCSE Journey (So Far...)
Welcome to my Blog.
Hi guys, welcome to my Grow Your Grades 2017 Blog. I'm really excited for this year, as I think we should all be trying to improve ourselves in every aspect . So, my name is Neya and I am 15 years old and I am in year 10.
These are the subjects that I have chosen and in blue are the exam boards that I am studying:
English Language & Literature AQA
Science (Chemistry, Biology and Physics) OCR Gateway
Religious Studies AQA
School: Clapton Girls' Academy
My grades have been pretty good (good for a Year 10 student, I get the grades 5 & 6), BUT... I am not stopping there...
I want to get those grades 8 & 9.
My main Goal is: To improve in the two subjects Geography & Religious Studies & to get those grades 8 & 9.
In my family, I am the oldest child (unfortunately!) & my parents say that I need to set a good example to my siblings that could be helpful for them.
I am in Year 10 in my school and my GCSEs will be really hard as they are in the grades of 1-9 and the grades are harder to get. For e.g. An old Grade C will be the new Grade 6 & the old Grade A* will be the new Grade 8 (Grade 9 will be a new Grade named A**).
So, I am hoping this Grow Your Grades 2017 competition will hopefully motivate me to actually study and get the BEST GRADES I WANT TO GET.
I will be updating, so, any tips you want from me or anything else, please do not hesitate to chat with me through this... TSR thing!

Just wanted to say thanks for joining The Student Room: welcome on board!
How's it going so far? Found what you need? Below I've listed a few things you might fancy trying on TSR. If you've got any questions, add them to the TSR news, help and feedback forum.
Put your work head on:
No matter what level or subject you're studying, you'll find someone on TSR who can help. Find your subject in the Study Help forum and ask a question or visit our brilliant revision section for help and advice. And if you're planning on going to university, you have to visit our uni applications forum. It's full of people who can help you through the whole process.
Take it easy:
You know there's more to TSR than studying, right? In Hobbies and Interests you'll find people talking about everything from the latest football scores through to what mobile phone to buy next. Or how about the Debate and Current Affairs forum? Latest news, politics, education...it's all fair game in here.
That's just a taster, of course. To find even more conversation, head to the Forums page and find a place to start up your own discussion.
Enjoy the site!
