    Sorry if it's already been discussed before - but if you had to choose what would you prefer? Grades or reputation? It could be what you would personally prefer or what you think employers might prefer...

    I'd go for a 2.1 from a high ranking university (or Russell Group) but not a 2.2 from Oxbridge.

    2:2 from Oxbridge. I have seen firsthand how much employers put Oxbridge grads on a pedestal. Also, apart from some of the top 10 unis, a 2:2 at Oxbridge is harder to achieve than a 2:1 at pretty much all other UK unis

    First from an ex-poly everyday. 2.1 from a random russell group is so average, and a 2.2 from oxbridge means you've wasted your opportunity. A first from an ex-poly shows you've risen above expectations. This is coming from a UCL student.
