Does anybody know whether you have to include examples of typography or calligraphy in your portfolio for a Graphic Design course?
    Thanks!

You don't have to include anything in your portfolio if you don't have anything suitable - but most graphic design degrees will include an element of typography so showing some interest in it would be useful.

Unless it's stated that they want to see examples of typography then no, I don't believe it is compulsory.
