I am a year 12 student doing computer science, maths and business.
I've always had an idea that i would go into computer science such as software engineering and if i couldnt or if i failed i would go into business management or something.

I've been put off computer science for a very long time now, i dont like it, my teacher dont care, ive lost interest, but i've gained more interest in business. However, i still want all good grades in my a levels including computer science. I wanted to go to Imperial or UCL uni for computing, but now that i want to do business, i want to do to something like London School Of Economics (they require AAA).

Any tips on making the personal statement stand out even if i get like a B or C in computer science and any way i can impress the unis?

Something to add, i am about to start a small boutique (jewellery, clothes, shoes etc) by selling on Etsy and hopefully moving over to my own website. I feel like this could give me a good thing to talk about in my statement and interviews, thoughts?

Hey, I have applied for business at uni's im in Scotland tho. In my personal statement i just mentioned how enthusiastic I was about the subject and how much my experience through volunteering and work have helped me gain the vital skills I need.

Starting your own business is definitely something you should mention as unis will love that!! I'd even say about how much you enjoy whats going on in the business world. I mentioned news headlines I had heard about what was going on within the business sector at that point(bhs shutting down)

I wish you the best of luck with your application.
