I'm really confused about my feelings for this girl. She has asked me out before but I chickened out and said no. But it's not as if I said no just on account of my fear of being stabbed in the back again. There are several reasons I said no which are
that she is not very adventurous at all and I want adventure by the bucket load in my life. The second issue is that I'm not sexually attracted to her but who knows that may develop over time.
(this may not sound important but intimacy is critical to a relationship)

She also has a very odd family that is very strict about who she is with and where and I find that intimidating. But we attract so much personality wise and talk every day. I feel split could anyone just give me some advice that would be awesome

I feel maybe if you don't find her sexually attractive and all the other points you mentioned it is probably safer to maintain the friendship you already have, my biggest regret was dating a friend and it didn't work out and we hardly spoke afterwards. A relationship is meant to be (mostly) carefree and should not stress you out from the points you've mentioned. But obviously it is up to you, I'd just suggest to see where things go and not to jump into it if you are not entirely sure!
