Yesterday i had an interview at the University of Cumbria (my first choice) for film and television production, during the interview i was asked what my weakness are. I was honest in telling him that i stuggle with english as im currently resitting GCSE english and having sat the exam 3 time. Ive came out with the same grade 'D.' After the interview he said he would give a positive recommendation.
I want to know if having a 'D' in GCSE english would lower my chances of getting into university?

    Thanks Tom

It might if they ask for a C as a minimum requirement, but if not then see how it goes. I've seen people with worse grades in both English and maths get into university. They might make you a conditional on getting a C in your next resit
