I'm curious as to what life, outside of work and studying, is like during University.

Do you befriend your roommates and stick with them? Or do you become friends with those in your classes or outside of your classes?

And what's the romance like? Is it hard to find someone when you already have so much going on? Or are the pickings, in your opinion, slim?

Feed back would great 'cause I think movies and books etc have fed me a dramatised and unrealistic idea of what higher education is like :/

Forget about romance. There's no chance of that ever happening. You'Lloyd end up all alone. It's sad but true.

A brilliant experience. Frontiers of knowledge. A wealth of interesting clubs. New friends - from accommodation or elsewhere - and some of whom will hopefully be for life. New surroundings and independence. As to romance, the potential is there, but it is a bit of a hot house environment and your success level is quite possibly going to be akin to at 6th form. Not to be missed.
