I know this may seem a bit of a downer, but has anyone else experienced or had depression brought on by their studies?
My A level subjects starting to get extremely difficult now and I'm not finding myself being able to deal with it very effectively. I have lost all passion for my subjects and my end goal, getting into uni.
I suppose what Im trying to ask is how did you guys drag yourself out of a rut? Any advice or if anyone has experienced anything similair I would love to hear about it and how you overcame it.

Feeling down or anxious is quite a common feeling during studying but it is a horrible feeling (state of mind).
The 1st thing that you could do is to talk to someone about it, whether it is someone with experience e.g. pastoral care, parents, a counsellor or friends (who may be able to empathise with you). Talking will take the weight off your shoulders and help you to put strategies in place.
I've found that doing exercise, getting plenty of sleep and making sure that I plan to regularly do things that I enjoy (hobbies, socialising) as this takes your mind off things, releases stress, and gives you something to look forward to.
