So the rankings for my exams just came out and.. its bad. We have 4 phases which are weighted equally. I did respectably in first and second, putting me in the top third. I faltered somewhat on the OSCE (3rd phase) but was just below the top third at that point.
Then my latest paper I did far worse than I was anticipating and dropped into the bottom third. I think i'm in the 60% decile now. Which is gutting, but besides the point.
I'd always wanted to go to a London deanery (I have my reasons for why this would be vastly preferable, and it's not a prestige or a 'gotta live in London' thing) but the decile is not making my FPAS chances great, especially given that, by all accounts, the SJT is basically a crapshoot. Are there many people who've managed to make a success of their FPAS after getting a mediocre decile? I'm applying to intercalate which should help.
When can you expect yours?
