A game very technical by definition and one in which rules matter more than anything else. Would it kill you to go through the same process and be subject to the same conditions as everyone else? It would probably kill your plans since you're obviously unable to persuade six other people to join you but that's why the said rule is in place…

They're not fun when noobs like you come and immediately attempt to nullify years of beneficial regulations and local culture.

If you eventually get your party and vote for the next Speaker who will then disband it, will you be bound to accept his will? Your ‘argumentation’ is ridiculous.

Oh, so I'm suddenly at the very right?
Considering we are the only party that is trying to form at the moment, and that presumably your party has existed since the beginning of time, you don't really get to say that you went through the same process, do you?

Let's take a poll, which is more fun: Having the same parties or introducing new ones? I'm guessing you would try to prevent such a poll from happening, just like the real life "establishment" wing of the Tory Party, because its a referendum you'd be destined to lose.

It just seems like a demonstration of poor judgement on your part especially considering we were in the process of forming before the Speakership election and you had every opportunity to inquire as to Adam's position on the legitimacy of the TSR Libertarian Party.

Fez said it himself: no CT approval and UG = no party. The GD and years of precedent say the same. The reason I'm upset is mainly that previous potential parties were required to amass ten active members and wait multiple weeks for approval whereas these two newbies and two rather inactive defectors are officially acknowledged in less than a month, which is unfair and contrary to good practice, especially considering that they don't even have a set of policies and a manifesto which is something the other potential parties had before they even dared asking for approval, yet they were still rejected (with the exception of National Liberals who turned out to be a failed promise).
With all due respect to Fez, Adam is now the Speaker and so he is the one who holds the authority to make such decisions. The Constitution does not mention the requirement of a user group nor the requirement for ten members, and Adam believed he had approval from the administration team to go ahead with the formation without a subforum. I'm not necessarily arguing for or against the formation, or whether or not to was fair, but just pointing out that the party has been officially formed and therefore we should treat it as an official MHoC party.

Between the lot of you there is a need to make a decision on LP, are you going to brand him hard right (while claiming to be hard right yourselves) or is he really a labourite IRL?

Congratulations to Gladstone. Will be interesting to see if you can lead the Party to full health and a good number of seats at the next election.

I'd like to ask the new Leader his immediate targets as well as a target for seats at the next election

I thank you Joe for running a clean but hard-fought campaign. You are undoubtedly qualified to serve as Leader given your experience in the House, commitment to the party and activity in promoting our brand. I do hope you'll run for Deputy Leader, as your organizational skills are unparalleled. You would be an asset to me in that respect.

To answer Petros' questions: The first order of business is to publish our freshly-approved party constitution. Next, we will elect our deputy leader, and after that we will get to work on our manifesto. The timetable for the former two objectives is to complete them by the end of the week. My personal aim is to secure 7 seats in the next general election. We look forward to working with his party and possibly forming a Government with them next term should we be fortunate enough to be returned with the necessary numbers.

One of our members, _gcx (George), has introduced a wonderful amendment to increase accessibility to the vote. I urge all who consider themselves civil libertarians to vote in favor, as it is a step forward in terms of electoral reform and democracy. You may voice your opinions here.

I am shocked that the Libertarian Party has not made all members leader simultaneously and allowed market forces to pick the best. They are clearly all statists at heart.

In seriousness, congratulations Gladstone1885, you've demonstrated leadership capability already and it's good to see new blood rising to the top.

Can't say I'm too surprised. Gladstone1885 has proved himself to be a very capable member during his stint in the Liberal Party and I have no doubts about his ability to steer the Libertarians ahead.

I thank the Chair of the Liberal Party and the Right Honorable Socialist member for their comments!

I neglected to mention in my previous remarks (due to concerns over constitutionality) another amendment, this one proposed by Joecphillips, to allow for the use of reasonable-length video clips in manifestos. It can be viewed here, and is certainly an interesting idea that I think I will support. I don't see any reason we shouldn't spruce up the culture of the House with competitive hip-hop duels.

Of course you want to be the tory leader. Everyone wants to be a leader of a political party. Although, it would be better if Nirvana1989-1994 was tory leader.
