Long story short... I messaged an old crush happy new year, he responded very enthusiastically asking how I am etc. Made small talk and wished him a safe journey home as he was on holiday (lives quite far from me). I joked it was a shame he didn't have a stopover where I live. He said it's unfortunate but maybe I could visit his town again sometime. I said I might be around there during my Easter hols and we should catch up if he's around.. he hasn't replied since. Been a week now. He's always viewing my snaps and I would feel awkward asking to meet him after he didn't reply at all!

What do you make of this?

He may just not know how to respond to it. I wouldn't bring it up until closer to the time as it may come across as a bit needy if you do it now. Keep talking to him in the meantime though and when the time comes, ask him if he wants to catch up.

We don't have any convo going so I can't even make small talk with him. Would it be wrong to assume he doesn't want to see me? He did seem quite keen and he's quite arrogant and doesn't make small talk/jokes with just anyone, I know that

Maybe you hadn't talked to him in a while so as a human being, he was just naturally interested to know how you have been up to? Just something to consider though. As I said, don't jump to conclusions just yet, continue talking to him over the next few weeks, but also slip in some flirty comments here and there and see how he reacts to it. Maybe if he sends you a snap, compliment something about him. It's just the little things like these that will make him think about it and perhaps he'll open out to you more?

Thanks, we don't send each other snaps/flirt or anything as we don't have such a bond (I wish!) but I'll try and see if he does reply eventually (wishful thinking?) otherwise I will casually message happy bday later in the month to see what kind of response I get.. Really wanna see him in real life again, hope it happens..
