    🏳️*🌈WELCOME🏳️*🌈

    I thought I'd take part in this challenge after an awful year last year, so I'm hoping this will renew my faith in humanity and in the world once again. This year has already got off to a (sort of) bad start since I've had no time to myself and I've been revising for mocks everyday. I thought this would be a nice thing to do to put aside time for myself and to evaluate the positives going on in my life, which I often seem to ignore.

    As a psychology student (and extreme psychology lover) I should know better than to ignore my mental health, and I often stress to others that they should focus on their mental health before anything else but I never seem to take my own advice, so here goes..

    I'll be posting things like:
    -What I'm grateful for today
    -A random act of kindness I've done
    -A random act of kindness someone has done for me
    -Things I did well
    -Something I could improve on
    -What I've achieved today
    -What I've done to look after my mental health
    -Something I have to look forward to
    -Something that made me smile
    -Quote of the day

    14/01/17 - Day One

    What I'm grateful for today:
    -My wonderful, wonderful mum who is extremely supportive of me every single day

    A random act of kindness I've done:
    -gave up my sacred Saturday lie in to help my mum's friend move out of his house

    A random act of kindness someone has done for me:
    -Since the only thing I've really had time for today is revision I couldn't go out and return some of the clothes I'd bought last week as they didn't fit, so my lovely mum went out of her way to return them for me.

    Things I did well:
    -Managed my revision time and allowed myself a break

    Something I could improve on:
    -focusing on my revision and improving my concentration

    What I've achieved today:
    -finally getting back into reading things outside of my school curriculum, started reading The Selfish Gene by Richard Dawkins today

    What I've done to look after my mental health:
    -Taken breaks when I got too stressed and had a nice cuppa to calm myself down

    Something I have to look forward to:
    -Sherlock season 4 finale tomorrow night!!
    -starting season 3 of Skam tomorrow

    Something that made me smile:
    -any conversation with my two best friends

    Quote of the day:
    -"With a new day comes new strength and new thoughts"

    So today hasn't been too great and I've been so stressed but instead I'm gonna focus on the positives..

    What I'm grateful for today:
    -wonderful tv shows such as Skam that present teen issues in an accurate and informative way rather than over-dramatising everything for effect like most other shows

    Things I did well:
    -managed to get my coursework finished and have proof-read everything, all ready to be printed off now thank god

    Something I could improve on:
    -time management
    -replacing my unhealthy day time snacks with healthier options
    -getting back into my routine of running every Sunday

    What I've achieved today:
    -its been quite a lazy day but I've at least managed to finish off my coursework

    What I've done to look after my mental health:
    -about to have a long, hot bubble bath with a nice cuppa

    Something I have to look forward to:
    -season finale of Sherlock in just over 2 hours!!!
    -one of my best friends turning 18 next week & her surprise party
    -grey's anatomy is back in less than 2 weeks

    Something that made me smile:
    -everything Ulrikke Falch posts on her instagram and twitter
    -food

    Quote of the day:
    -"She needed a hero so thats what she became"

    So I've been running on about 4 hours sleep today so apart from all the tiredness I'm not feeling too bad:grin:

    What I'm grateful for today:
    -my two best friends who always put up with me even through my b*tchy moments

    Things I did well:
    -finally let myself have a break from revision!!

    Something I could improve on:
    -sleeping before 1am
    -not leaving homework til last minute as always

    What I've achieved today:
    -actually bought a relatively healthy lunch from Morrisons today rather than my usual potato wedges and cookies

    What I've done to look after my mental health:
    -watched cute animal videos

    Something I have to look forward to:
    -my two best friends turning 18th in the next few weeks
    -going to New York in less than a month:dancing2:

    Something that made me smile:
    -the Sherlock season 4 finale
    -spending time with my family this evening instead of over-working myself

    Quote of the day:
    -"Laughter is, and always will be, the best form of therapy"

    17/01/17 - Day 4

    So today went surprisingly well

    What I'm grateful for today:
    -the support from all of my friends and family
    -got my third university offer today:dancing2:

    A random act of kindness:
    -surprised my mum by making dinner for her

    Things I did well:
    -started on my English revision

    Something I could improve on:
    -stop binge watching skam
    -sleep more

    What I've done to look after my mental health:
    -spending time with my two best friends

    Something I have to look forward to:
    -university
    -New York

    I've been so busy these past few days that I haven't had time to come on here!!

    I won't be writing a positive post today as Donald Trump is now currently being inaugurated as the 45th president of America and I have nothing positive to say at all about this day.
