I was walking and a girl i barley know walked past and overtook me and touched my hand! Before this happened I held open the door for her, we made eye contact and she whispered "thank you". After she touched my hand I said "oh, sorry" and she whispered "it's okay" -btw she never turned around and looked at me and said it.

is touching a sign a girl is flirting or likes you?

Possibly. But, truthfully, if she didn't look at you she's either very shy or she wasn't aware that she could be perceived as flirting. In general
touching is flirting but it is more when the touches are intentional like touching the upper arm when talking to you. Is this a girl you'll see on a regular basis? If so smile at her when you see her next and see how she responds. If she genuinely smiles back then the next time you see her add "hi". If you do this a few times then eventually you won't be a total stranger to her and you can go up to her and talk to her and see how she responds and if she's receptive to you and if so then move forward from there. Good Luck!

Welcome to TSR where even a thank you from a pedestrian crossing the road is interpreted as a sign of interest 😑

Don't overthink it mate... She was being friendly.

Tell her you feel she was being too direct and would rather she took things a little more slowly in this promising relationship.
