    Hey.

    I have this question as part of my course, I beleive I have correctly answered 3a, 3b and 3d.. but unsure of how to answer 3c,

    if anyone is able to give an explanation to help me work it out, that would be great,

    V=IR using the answer from part b

    First calculate the resistance of the 6Ohm,12Ohm parallel circuit using 1/R = 1/R1 + 1/R2. Then add that to the 8 Ohms that's in series.
    For b, use I = V/R with R being your answer to part one, and V being the 24V of the cell
    For c, use V=IR, with I being the answer to b, and R being 8 Ohms (the resistor)
