# What am I doing wrong with my suvat? watch

Announcements
1. U = -20 v=0 a=2 t=10
S = ut +0.5at^2. => -200 +100= -100m as total displacement
S = vt +0.5at^2. => 0 +100m = 100m as total displacement

Why does one give me negative answer and the other a positive?

Edit: [Sorry the Latex didn't load] So how am I using the equation wrong?

Well in the OP you used the equation incorrectly as, S = vt +0.5at^2
