I'm just about to get underway in getting rid of chromeOS and installing GalliumOS.

I'm a total noob and while there are guides I've been following, are there any pitfalls I should look out for?

For example, I put the ROM onto a USB 3.0 memory stick using Win32DiskImager. I used this before when flashing raspian onto an SD card for a RPi.

I distinctly remember having to format the SD card first. I did not do this for the USB, I just went straight ahead to the W32DiskImager.

Do you agree with the proposed ban on plastic straws and cotton buds?
