What would happen if you didn't treat strep throat? Watch

If you've ever had strep throat it can be horrible and cause an extremely sore throat. Luckily there are antibiotics and I've noticed relief within 12 hours of taking them. What I was wondering though is what would happen to an healthy adult if you didn't treat strep throat? Would it tend to resolve itself or would it be a lethal condition to have without antibiotics?

I think it could be lethal but this would be unlikely in a healthy adult. In an old person or child the risk of complications would be higher.

Lucky you getting relief within 12 hours. I got it last year and the first lot of antibiotics didn't clear it fully so I had to take more after having strep for 14 days then it was another week or more before it was cleared. I was in so much pain.
