    I really like newcastle's city life and all and i got an offer for economics. However, its only ranked 27th for econs and i am worried about the teaching and the graduate prospects. Anyone knows anything about their economics? They mentioned they have high employability but does that apply to all course? Or should i just choose a uni with higher ranking but with less favorable city life(small town)? Thanks

    The one thing I would suggest is deciding on placement year opportunities. Would 100% recommend going on one, it is invaluable. Economics at Bath for example has this option.

    And employability, well, I'm of the belief (bear in mind that I'm only a uni student on their placement year) that for a lot of places your employability is mostly down to you and what you achieve, what skills and experiences you gain, and your uni you go to I guess to some extent (but for example this isn't true in IB....)
