I am struggling with how to start off answering the final 10 mark question which is

"By referring to the extract and elsewhere in the novel, discuss how the writer explores the theme of death in The Cone-Gatherers."

The extract that was given is from the Deer Hunt scene. I know the formula for answering this question - 2 marks for commonality, 2 marks for referring the the extract and then 6 marks for referring to elsewhere in the novel but I'm not sure how to start it off.

Any help would be much appreciated
