So the accommodation applications for my firmed university is open! Woohoo! I'm really not sure what to do first though - should I apply for student finance when it's available, or should I apply for my campus accommodation ASAP? Are the accommodation applications on a first come, first serve basis?

Would love to hear students' experiences with this, or anyone who could help. Thank you!

In most cases it's first come first served, you wont be able to apply for student finance for another couple of months, so if you want to apply for student accommodation now then you need to use the student finance calculator and have a conversation with your parents so you only apply for accommodation you can afford
