I have a physics mock tomorrow on particles, quarks bit and electricity and I'm doing papers now but I've come across questions where it asks me to complete the decay for a K- meson. Am i supposed to memorise every decay or is it something I have to work out ??

You should be able to work out what particle is formed by balancing the charges, lepton number and baryon number. Keep in mind mind that Kaons don't have to conserve their strangeness when they decay.
