    Some of those kind of men's pick up / dating online communities offer some good general advice: stop stressing about women being the be all and end all of your life, stop spending all your time on porn, go to the gym, get some hobbies and interesting interests, learn to dress well.

    The pick-up artist stuff which is like go up to girls with these kind of lines, give her some put-downs, disappear off so she is left waiting for more, escalate with touching her and then close the deal, is just a recipe for coming off as creepy as anything. Especially if you are going up to girls in the street or going to clubs on your own and chatting them up, in those situations you're going to be seen as weird.

    The internet has spawned a ton of people who claim to be dating gurus and who apparently have women hanging all over them, there are a few on TSR, but I suspect it's all a make believe persona they like to live out on the internet.

    They seem to think that pick up 'game' is like a kind of Jedi mind trick that will allow you to manipulate a naive victim but women generally have an inbuilt detector for picking up a guy who isn't really very successful with women but is trying to pretend he is by being cocky and stuff, they will just turn the guy in to a humorous anecdote for their friends.

    Their advice doesn't even work for everyone. It's probably better to do your own thing tbh, don't try and be fake because some PUA tells you...

    Very much a staple of American mall culture. Surprisingly the youth dont consider harassing strangers in a mall as being particarly creepy, but a guy in a nightclub on his own apparently is.
