    Evening everyone,

I have a few questions which i can't seem to find the answers for on google etc.

Im currently an Electrical supervisor on a good wage, For some reason i still feel as if i want to do more with life than just this. I have an interest in engineering so thought this may be good route to go down certainly seeing as I'm already an Electrician.

Looking at the open uni Engineering and from what i can see this looks to be just general & not specifying in any particular discipline, is this right?

Also i know a few of you may have already taken this course, how would you say you managed? i currently have 3 children and a full time job to contend with also.

Has anyone managed to gain a job in the engineering sector after this? I currently have a job which obviously pays reasonable and i have just taken out a mortgage so need to make sure i don't take to big a step back in terms of wages.

On top of this i don't want to spend 6 years learning to still end up doing what I'm already doing if that makes sense.

Apologies for the long winded thread i just need to get this out there.
I look forward to your comments/replies
