So I'm doing this thing next week and I really need some advice. I'm going to be surrounded by people a little older than me and a lot of new faces that I don't really know the names of.

How can I adapt quickly? Everyone else knows each other and I hate feeling like the "new girl".

The thing is, the only person I know is coming a bit later and I have to go earlier which means I'm going to be completely out of my comfort zone.

    Any advice?

Think what do you have to lose nothing!! So say ***[ it and talk
Pretend that they are your friends
Develop a IDGAF attitude way easier said than done
    Just be friendly
    Good luck TOMH!

I have heard this thing called "small talk" helps.

I see it as completely pointless and a waste of time, but I hear that many people do it as a way to look like they actually give a flying ****.

Act like they are your friends. If they don't want to be, fair enough, they can go**** themselves
