Apprenticeship Issues watch

    • Thread Starter

I started a business admin level 2 apprenticeship in August 2016, unfortunately about 2 months in our apprenticeship provider lost funding and I was without an apprenticeship tutor or coursework untill today

This wouldn't be a problem but I'm planning to go to uni in the September and as I'm with a new provider my actual apprenticeship won't end untill January next year

I was told even though I can complete the apprenticeship quicker i won't actually get the certification untill a year onwards by which point I'll no longer be working for the company

My manager knows that I'm starting uni and is super supportive but as soon as our managing director finds out he will want to lay me off and hire somebody else, which is fair, there is no point investing in someone who won't be staying on.

It's put me in a really awkward situation, I want to keep this job up untill uni because it's great experience but I'd also like to have my qualification and unless i stay here till Jan 18 that won't be possible

I'm going to contact the citizens advice bureau but untill then can anybody offer any advice? Thanks
