    Hey Guys,

I have been offered a place to study Psychology at Newcastle, my entry offer is AAB, a B in GCSE maths (already completed now) and successful completion of the summer school. The requirements indicated on the Newcastle website are AAB-AAA without summer school, meaning that the reduction is only by 1 grade at a maximum. Most offers given to my friends are the lower of what is stated on the website when a range is given, and therefore really I haven't had a reduced offer at all?

I was told that partners would reduce the entry requirements needed to study, as it says a typical reduction is from AAB to BBB. I am under a lot of stress with exams and was hoping partners would help relieve a little of that. I understand it's fair if I don't get a reduced offer but then that should also mean I shouldn't have to complete a summer school if my entry requirements wont be reduced?

I have already emailed the University and their reply was pretty much a copy and paste of the entry requirements from their website.

Has anyone else had this issue, should I drop out of summer school? Thanks for your help guys this is extremely stressful!

Partners gives people with a certain criterion a reduced offer. I fit into a catchment area that they give, therefore I'm eligible.

This gives disadvantaged people, or local school children a lower offer. However you need to complete a 1 week summer school to make up for the grade reduction, I've been told this is like an academic NCS.

    This may help - http://www.ncl.ac.uk/schools/partners/
