I'm doing an EPQ at my sixth form where I basically write a 5000 word essay on anything I like. I want to write it on something to do with Greek mythology or history however I need to narrow it down and choose a specific area within one of these topics to base my project on as these topics are so broad and would need way more than 5000 words. I'm struggling as I don't really know much but would like to know more that is why I want to do my project on one of the two. So if you know any specific areas that I could do a lot of research on to do with Greek mythology or anything to do with history that would be great. Like maybe some battles or a specific era that still has unsanswred questions about it I don't know. I also have to come up with a question/title beginning with something like "what impact.." "to what extent.." "how significant.." so if you have any ideas that would be amazing. Thankyouu

What about combining the two - looking at the evidence from history around events/buildings that are part of the theseus and the minotaur myth? There's definitely archaeological remains of a labyrinth on Crete and I'm sure there's other historical writings and documentation/evidence that could be compared to the myth.
