I'm a Yr 11 Student halfway through his GCSE mock exams. Most tests I've done were straight forward . However I have a p3 exam soon and I'm not expecting the best. Looking back I regret not making use of the winter holiday and having to revise at most 2-3 days before each exam as they're all close together. Regarding the future my question is how do you learn for understanding as I always try to memorise which I know isn't a good strategy but I always do. seeing as I've never been taught to understand. Also regarding subjects I find difficult, how do I understand it without memorising and becoming frustrated as I often get annoyed for not getting facts/concepts straightway. For example for aqa p3 science I struggle with the electromagnet part and I end up trying to copy what my teachers/videos say before forgetting or having gaps in my knowledge of what I've memorised. How can I learn concepts difficult and understand it and making it simpler to me while stopping myself from relying on memorising
Find out how.
