    First of all, young man/lady,

Let's get the facts right: when you say you are studying "first course with English", do you mean you are doing an ENGLISH COURSE e.g English as a foreign language, OR are you doing some other subject (A level?? btw, this is a biology forum (= discussion)) IN ENGLISH in spite of not being (without being) good at English?

If you are studying English, just persist at it, find a good "English as a foreign language" group, and get some good books/internet resources (websites), read simple English novels, etc. and socialise to practice spoken English.

If you are doing biology, or other sciences (or, for that matter, some other subjects, e.g. geography or history (!)) in English and you do not understand what the teachers are saying, THEN:-

    1. First of all, take some time off (a year maybe), and get a good grasp of English (means become good at English, "grasp" means like getting hold of something properly so you do not drop it, so if you get hold of English strongly, you do not forget it, if that makes sense) as advised above, then return to your course in the subjects you started with (otherwise you will learn NEITHER ENGLISH NOR ANYTHING ELSE!!).

    2. When you return to the actual subjects that interest you, START AFRESH AND DO THOSE SUBJECTS AT THE RIGHT LEVEL - IF your knowledge is equivalent to that of UK age 12, for example, you cannot do A levels directly - in English we say "You cannot run before you learn to walk!!).

I hope you are able to understand my logic. IF YOU CANNOT UNDERSTAND WHAT I AM SAYING ABOVE< DO ASK A FRIEND WHO IS GOOD AT ENGLISH.

    Regards, Mukesh (Science tutor)
