I've wanted to become an astronomer ever since I was 8, it has always been the plan. Now I am studying physics, 3rd year out of 4, and I just got my exam grades back. I got Ds in the courses with an exam, As in the courses with only coursework. I understand the material when I have the time to do assignments and projects, and I usually get As or the occasional B in coursework, but I just can't do exams. I'm just not smart enough to understand the physics and maths, and I have no idea what's going on half of the time.

I don't know what to do now. I'll probably fail this semesters courses, since my grades have gotten worse and worse. I don't know if I should do a different degree. Something easier. Because I don't find physics easy. But then I can't become an astronomer. I have no plan. It's the only thing I have wanted to do. Anyone has been in a similar situation, or have any advice?

Just keep trying! I'm sure the fact that you have gotten that far proves you are capable.

Have you thought about getting a tutor or maybe asking the lecturers to go through things with you? Also gettting classmates to come up with exam like questions to practice? You'll get a chance to resist your exams although I know that will be tough and hopefully you'll be able to get throughl don't give up now, your so close just got to get your head down and ask for help
