17,000 people have signed up to attend a march in central London, in an aim to promote human rights and equality issues. Although it will take place on the same day as Trump’s inauguration, the group have noted that the march isn’t specifically anti-Trump.

While it is named “Woman’s March”, they advise that everyone is welcome as they want to end “coach potato politics”

They have said that they "unite and stand together for the dignity and equality of all peoples, for the safety and health of our planet and for the strength of our vibrant and diverse communities... The politics of fear have no place in 2017."

The march is supported by groups including Amnesty International, the Women's Equality Party and Pride.

    You can read more here.

What do you make of the march? Should it be done on Trumps inauguration? Will you be attending?

I got spammed on FB by three different people who were all inviting me to attend. Said no - I don't have time to waste on pointless marches.

What I found funny was how the woman carrying the placard "Don't grab my pussy!" was the last woman on earth whose pussy you would actually want to grab.

Women's March? What was wrong with Equality March?

It is anti-Trump and most probably anti-white-cisgendered-male. I leave them to enjoy their echo chamber circle jerk in peace.

I feel like if you're going to 'march for equality' step one would probably be not marketing it as a 'Women's March', all that does is alienate men. Equality isn't selective.

There's nothing quite as pointless as a bunch of people with nothing at stake, protesting in another country over the leader of another.

Carrying a child refugee on her shoulders. Not easy when the lad is 14 stone and has a massive beard.

Nah I'm sure we men aren't that sensitive to feel upset or alienated over a Women's March.
