Right now I'm in year 12 studying Maths, Further Maths and Physics and I want to go on to do a Maths and Physics degree. The problem is, I have shocking attendance (40%) but despite this I still feel that I'll get good grades at A level, as I get A's in my mocks and I'm very good at self teaching. Will my terrible attendance prevent me from getting into a good uni even if I have good predicted grades?

Your school may mention it in your reference, but it is very unlikely. That excepted, they won't know.

My attendance was far worse than yours and I still received offers from various Russell Group universities.

Make sure to keep your relationship with your teachers and future referee on good terms. Let them know that you prefer self study and that's why you aren't attending.

If they insist on seeing improvements at the start of Yr 13 then do it - there's no request from UCAS for referees to specify attendance information but your referee can include anything they deem relevant that they can back up with evidence (so if you get on the wrong side of the people providing your reference then it could end up in there).

Literally nobody cares except for your teachers, your grade is all that matters.
