Hello. I've applied for a year abroad in australia as a part of my course. Thing is i'm an EU national (still treated as home student as i lived here over 3 years before uni) and i'm worried i mighr lose my residency status simply becaues i'll move to australia for a year as a part of my degree. Do you think that studying year abroad as a part of my degree will affect my residency rights after i come back and brexit is under way? Is there any definitive info that my rights to stay in the country will be guaranteed?

    Thank you !

Imo you are very unlikely to be affected, but that is to be decided by the Brexit negotiations. You should check with immigration, but I imagine as long as you show it is only temporary and you take steps to show that you regard your permanent residence is the UK, then you will be fine.
