Chemistry inorganic atoms question

Why does 2g of Mg24 contain 1 mole of neutrons?
(edited 7 years ago)
2g contains 1/12 mole of atoms, each atom has 12 neutrons, so 12 * 1/12 = 1. 2g contains 1 mole of neutrons. Remember that mole is a measure of quantity or number of something, it doesn't have to be atoms or ions.
