    We already have weapons there - the Black Rod carries a sword, as, I believe, does the Serjeant at Arms. The law applies only to those called to Parliament. Surely if some agents within Parliament are allowed weapons it is only right to allow MPs theirs!

    Well the new Libertarians certainly have a sense of humour

    Nay though, the Coming Armed to Parliament Act is a quirk that doesn't particularly hurt anyone and has been on the books for 704 years.
