So I live abroad, away from my family. I had a really, really bad break-up about a year ago and ever since, I don't seem to enjoy socialising much at all.

I live alone, and basically have no friends. I'm trying my best to meet new people, and I am, but I just end up feeling even worse because I feel like no one's close enough. I don't have the best relationship with my parents or siblings, we kind of don't talk at all, especially since I live abroad. I don't know what to do. I just want to feel less alone but meeting new people reminds me how alone I am.

    Any advice? Thank you

Start off by trying to get closer to parents/siblings you shoild most time never drift away from them , try skype maybe?

And man you don't have to be close with your friends, don't overthink it it will come naturally overtime.

Prehaps use your interests? For me if i have friend I would play video games/ go gym with them.

But i think you are overthinking

Haha I would love to but I just feel like it would be forced and awkward? Like I don't live with my family.. Don't even know what's going on in their everyday lives.. Don't even know what to talk about haha.. Plus I've been abroad for about 2 years so they're pretty much used to me being gone

Try parents first just say you miss them and then start a convo from there

Epidemic of the 21st century. Not knowing how to talk to your own family..

Thanks, I'll give that a go
