Hi, I am really interested in going on a trip abroad to Thailand or Peru, or somewhere similar to experience the culture and help with either construction or animal welfare. I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for companies I could use for this bearing in mind I'm 15. Thanks so much 😊

Yes, World Challenge. To be fair, your age will count against you at the moment. Since you are legally a minor there are strict rules about supervision so this will be more expensive than for adults. I'm also guessing that you may have limited experience to offer in construction or animal welfare.
However, understanding other cultures and helping those less fortunate are great aims, and I hope you get to do it. I worked abroad with child victims of war once and it was one of the most worthwhile things I've done. If your school doesn't offer World Challenge maybe look for local projects to build your experience and then try again when you are 18.

Some organisations like Gapforce & Projects Abroad offer volunteer programs to 15 year olds if you get permission from your parents. You will need to pay a fee but you will get a structured experience including flights, accommodation, meals and a guide etc.

You can search more organisations on the following pages:
    - Volunteer Programs in Thailand
    - Volunteer Programs in Peru

You could also wait till you are 16 and there are lots more options. Let us know how you get on
