This looks very interesting and is endowed to the tune of $400 million by Phil Knight (the founder of Nike).
"Each year the Knight-Hennessy Scholars program will identify a group of 100 high-achieving students from around the world with demonstrated leadership and civic commitment to receive full funding to pursue a wide-ranging graduate education at Stanford, with the goal of developing a new generation of global leaders. The Knight-Hennessy Scholars is the largest fully endowed scholars program in the world."
The program is being kicked-off TODAY with a series of events at universities around the UK (probably more to follow later). You don't need to be a student at those universities to apply.
Needless to say, the scholarships will be very competitive. Also, note you separately have to be accepted to a Stanford postgrad course, so again, a competitive requirement.
Thoughts returnmigrant ...
