I have applied to SOAS for the course L290 Politics with international relations. Im studying a BTEC with a DDD predicted. I have stated in my application that I have a D grade in GCSE maths. I have a GCSE pending maths grade as well.

They offered me a place subject to conditions getting a DDD and a 6.5 on my IELTS ( International student). They did not mention anything about getting a C in maths like my other offer (City,University london).

Im afraid that they could have made a mistake and would cause complications for me later on or is the written conditions enough on UCAS? Pls help.

    Hi hannaramadan,

    Congrats on your conditional offer!

When making offers our admissions team look at the application as a whole and do not specify a particular GCSE grade in Maths for most of our degrees. The exceptions to this are Management and Economics courses where we look for a grade B in Maths, but in your case for Politics and IR this is not required.
