I've still not heard surely they've got to let us know today otherwise there'd be no warning, does anyone know if we get emails if we're unsuccessful?

We'll get feedback but I'd rather know if we're unsuccessful soon

I've not heard either... I'm guessing that I haven't been successful which sucks but I'd really like to know if I can at least improve on my application for next time...

I hate the uncertainty, I didn't expect to get an interview as my application wasn't that great so I'm assuming that I'm unsuccessful, but cos nobody else on this thread has heard back for microbiol I'm holding out that little bit of hope..

Well let's not be pessimistic about it; I'm sure your application was fine! As you said, none of us who applied for the microbiol specialism have seem to have heard yet so who knows! We definitely should hear back soon though as interviews were next week... I kind of had this theory that some specialisms were being interviewed on the 20th and some others on the 21st so assumed they'd give us at LEAST a week to prepare... In which case there is always tomorrow!

I still haven't heard from genomics either. I've e-mailed both ladies mentioned on the application asking when we'd hear and received an out of office e-mail.

Hey guys, i called up yesterday as i have an interview on 20th for biochem ( i wanted to find out more information about the interview process) and i was told that the two women in charge of the STP (the women who sent me the interview email) are away until Tuesday 18th and Christine Love is back on the 20th according to her out of office email!

Ooh goodness. Not sure what that means for those of us yet to hear then! I've been toying with the idea of emailing but don't want to seem pushy or anything when in all actuality, I'm just curious as to what the status of my application is. Oh well, as the saying goes - "no news is good news."

No. There is a feedback form on the application if you go to the NHS website where you can rate how well they did on informing you about the application proces etc. They haven't done a great job compared to the English programme which is more transparent.

I suppose it is their first year as a separate programme but there doesn't seem to be a lot of transparency, I agree. I hope I can get into the programme some other time but I feel somewhat discouraged.

I am still waiting too. Assume if I was going to get an interview would have been contacted before now. I tried to contact both ladies listed in the advert but both out of office. I guess I should book train tickets for Scotland I have an STP interview on Friday but because left it late have to pay full price tickets.

Anyone had experience with Scotland Medical Physics STP?

Oh dear. Can you tell us more please? Was it similar to the English one? Did they ask you about management/NHS values/general science or was it just specialism specific?

Anyone heard back after their interview yet? They said i should hear by yesterday when they finish interviews. My mind went blank due to stress and pressure of the interview! I'd say it was very specific to specialism, know your dissertation and area of speciality.

I was told in my interview that they would decide that day but it was then in the hands of administration. Given the that they haven't been that great so far I'm not expecting to hear this week.
