I am currently in year 12 and studying Biology, Chemistry, and Maths for A-level. I would like to study medicine at Cambridge, and so need very high AS UMS results, and 2 a*s and 1 a for a level . Does anyone have any tips on how to get high grades in chemistry and biology? Also, I do the exam board AQA, and as there is a new specification, there is only 1 specimen paper to do as practise.

Hi, I do Maths, Further Maths and Chemistry at A Level and did Biology at AS, all on AQA (getting all As at AS). I know the pain of having new specifications (both biology & chemistry are new) but the best option is to do as many past papers as possible. Even if the new specs are different, indeed they are, the more experience you have with past papers the better, honestly. Last year I did every past paper from 2009-2015 for biology and chemistry, and all from 2006-2015 for maths & Further, and I got significantly better as I went through them

    Hope that helps
