Henry Cavill would make a good Bond I reckon.
Yeah they liked him when he auditioned but was too young apparently, so they chose Craig

Should we get a white man to play Nelson Mandela? Or a Japanese transexual to play The Iron Lady?
Nelson Mandela and Margaret Thatcher are my favourite fictional characters.

    James bond is real okay

In all seriousness, Flemmings' character description should be honoured

Fassbender gets my vote. Hardy could do it now where he couldn't have done post-Brosnan now that Craig has opened the door to a rougher Bond (which is actually closer to the original vision of the character in the books than all out suaveness), but I think Fassbender coud pull of the actual character of Bond a bit better. I hate it when people say that Elba can't be Bond because he's black, as if fictional characters are completely inflexible to change or that Bond's whiteness is some immutable character trait, but for me Elba simply doesn't exude the charm of Bond in anything I've seen in him yet.

Just for the love of God, don't give it to Damien Lewis.

I think Tom Hardy would make a fantastic Bond, but in all honesty, he doesn't need the role. He's already leading his own franchise (Mad Max) and played a multitude of incredible characters, not to mention being Oscar nominated a couple of times e.g. The Revenant. In the past, the role has traditionally gone to actors who weren't as well-known before Bond as Tom Hardy is right now. As the saying goes, Bond makes the actor, not the other way round. Take Pierce Brosnan and Timothy Dalton for example, who both virtually disappeared from film roles after their time as 007. Tom Hardy only gets stronger with every performance so I can't see him taking on Bond unless Christopher Nolan directs.

IMO I think Michael Fassbender (if he bulked up a bit) or dark horses like Tom Hiddleston are more likely to get it.
